My friend Yoga

Mondays are for yoga. But the couch was warm and I was tired. Then, yoga was all, Listen, girl. I will bring some peace back into your life, but I’m gonna HURT YOU SO GOOD to do it. And you have to get off the couch and bring your ass in for this pain RIGHT NOW.

So, I went. And one of our poses was the tree pose, which is where you stand on one leg and cram your heel into your crotch. Okay, you’re not supposed to cram anything anywhere in yoga, but seriously, it has always felt that way when I do Vrksasana (tree pose.) And it has always hurt. A heel mashing into the soft spot of your upper thigh.

But today, I did it. For reals. Like held the pose. And it didn’t hurt like a mofo.

Then I nearly fell.

But, I really do feel better. Thanks, yoga. You’re a real pal.
